Does anyone know what types of skills you must have to design advertisements on a digital billboard? Do you have to have any graphic design skills? If so, what’s the best way to obtain these skills? Classes, books, etc?
I would contact Watchfire and Daktronics – who build the LED boards – and ask them. Or you could ask Lamar, Clear Channel or CBS, which own the majority of them.
At Daktronics our digital artists use Photoshop and Illustrator, they hold degrees in graphic design. Adobe has fantastic tutorials that can be found online for anyone wanting to learn how to use both Photoshop and Illustrator.
