Separation between billboards

Hi,

I am working the ordinance which states that the distance between billboards has to be 500 feet min.

This is a city ordinance. Do billboards standing in the county zone (but outside the city limits) matter? Or this is 500feet between boards within city limits?

The separation probably goes from any board, doesn’t matter who’s limits the land is in, city or county, but figured this is worth asking.

Thank you!
Mark

It can depend on the County zoning regulations and also the DOT, check with both to find out the minimum distances.
