Hey guys, working on a proposal for a mid-sized church (approx. 800 seats). They are heavily focused on their IMAG (Image Magnification) and Sunday live stream quality.
We are looking at P2.5 indoor modules. I usually spec standard 3840Hz ICs for these jobs, but their camera team is using Sony broadcast cameras and is paranoid about scan lines and moiré patterns when zooming in.
I was reviewing some specs on this Church LED Screen Solutions page, and they emphasize high gray scale at low brightness (since churches often dim the screens during worship).
My question to the pros here:
In a sanctuary environment with mixed lighting, have you found 3840Hz sufficient for broadcast cameras, or should I push the budget for high-end ICs (like MBI5253/5264) to hit 7680Hz? I don’t want to oversell them, but I can’t afford a flickering background on their stream.
Thoughts?
