First time poster here. Does anyone have experience with executing a backpack / walking billboard strategy? Interested in possible regulatory issues and potential pricing strategy. I’m developing a street team marketing plan for a client and am interested in the walking billboard concept.
Back in the 1940’s they painted ads on women’s knees, so the concept of alternative advertising on individuals (like sandwich boards) has been around for at least 70+ years – and it’s a good one. As far as regulatory environment, I’m unaware of any laws regarding this type of advertising, except for the any act that would endanger the public welfare (like a sandwich board that blocks a sidewalk’s access). There may be individual city ordinances that ban this, but I doubt it. Be sure to read the ordinance of the city in advance of selling the ad space.
