We are looking to retire our old P3.9 batch and refresh our rental inventory for the upcoming touring season. Durability is my #1 priority this time. Our local crews are rough, and I’m tired of repairing pixel damage on the corners after every load-out.
I’ve been comparing a few new cabinets. Some use the integrated “flip-over” corner guards. I saw a specific design on this Rental LED Display series that looks like it has a decent quick-lock system for one-person handling.
Has anyone had hands-on experience with these flip-style protectors after 50+ gigs?
Do they get loose or floppy over time? Or should I stick to the older, heavier die-cast frames that just have a raised bezel?
Also, how is the curving block reliability on these newer lightweight frames?
Cheers!
