How much to charge for advertising on LED sign

Hi folks,

We’re contmplating the purchase of (approx.) 4’ x 10’ LED sign which will be mounted on our office building located on a main artery in Albuquerque, NM. In an effort to defray some of the cost, we thought about offering some time on our sign to the tennants. We have no idea what to charge. Can you offer some advice about how to calculate a fair price? Some guidelines/considerations?

Here’s a formula you might use. Find out the traffic count on the road in which the sign is viewed. Find out the rate of a 14’ x 48’ bulletin or similar billboard on the same road. Do a proportion of the sign you got the rate on vs. your 40 sq. ft. sign ( for example, if a 10’ x 40’ = 400 sq. ft. rents for $2,000 per month, then your sign would be $2,000 x 10% = $200 per month).
