(1) LED Lamp Beads
As the most critical raw material for LED displays, the price of LED lamp beads is affected by factors such as pixels, lamp sizes, and brands.
Common brands of LED lamp beads in the market include Kinglight, Nationstar, Sanan, Nichia, Episen, Cree, among others. Higher costs may mean more stable performance, while some relatively cheaper options have gained popularity due to their cost competitiveness.
(2) IC - Drive IC
There are various types of ICs used in LED displays, with Drive IC accounting for approximately 90% of them. Therefore, this discussion mainly focuses on the impact of Drive IC on prices.
Drive IC supplies compensation current to the LED, and it has a direct impact on color uniformity, gray level, and refresh rate.
(3) LED Display Cabinet
This factor mainly relates to the raw materials used to make the cabinet. The density of the materials is the most significant difference. For instance, steel is 7.8g/cm³, aluminum is 2.7g/cm³, magnesium alloy is 1.8g/cm, and die-casting aluminum is 2.7-2.84g/cm³.
(4) LED Power Supply
The power adapter used provides the necessary current for the LED screen to function normally. The international voltage is 110V or 220V, but the working voltage for each LED display module is 5V. Hence, we need a power supply capable of transferring the voltage from 110V or 220V to 5V voltage. Generally, 3 to 4 power supplies are needed per square meter of LED screen.
The higher the power consumption of the LED display, the more power supply it needs, and the price increases accordingly.
